On HotUKDeals recently there was a Medion TV at Aldi for £280. Someone noticed a record button on the remote so plugged a USB stick into the USB port, hit record and hey presto it worked, recorded straight to the disc. Anyone had any experience with this sort of recording? I would rather not buy a freeview recorder if I can buy a TV and just plug my USD HDD in and record straight to that (getting a new TV anyway). Will it record 1 / watch another or does it need 'twin tuners'? Pause live TV? Or are these sort of features only available on a proper recorder?
