WTF?

Ferguson isn't say it's not 100% impossible that he won't be on the bench.

A week ago he was going to be out for 4 weeks?

WTF

I bet he ends up on the bench then comes on in the 75th minute and shortly after scores the winner

The interview with him says that Rooney will probably talk him into putting him on the bench.

Ridiculous.

I don't doubt Rooney will beg to be included, but theres more chance of Fergie being on the wind up than him actually being included.

Fuck it let him play, get the job done and then be fucked for England in the summer so he has a good rest for the next season. League and Champions League is the priority not the World Cup

I reckon he will be on the bench, psychological thing knowing that Rooney could come on.

This.

This would not surpise me, but would really piss me off if he's out of the World Cup, we don't have much chance anyway, without Rooney i'd pretty much right off any chance of us winning the world cup.

If I supported the mancs, I'm sure I would agree with you, and it's them who employ him so it's their choice to play him, or not.

But as a neutral, ruining Englands world cup would really piss me off!

At the same time, it was only a bloody sprained ankle, I can't see why that'd take 2-4 weeks anyway, we've all done it, and all played sport a few days later haven't we? (obviously not to the same level, but still)

He won't play and it won't be a case of Fergie hoping the above happens.

United would finish below Arsenal if they let Rooney get even more injured tomorrow night.

If he's 50% fit, and they still happen to need 1 goal with 10 mins left, who knows what might happen.

They've got that little prick Macheda back now, so i'm sure they won't need Rooney anyway

Ferguson and Man United could not give a shit about England in fairness, if he feels he has to take a chance with the guys fitness in order to qualify then he will.

I couldn't either, yet a fellow fan at work was disgusted when I said club over country!

Rooney on the bench for Bayern? Don't talk crap.

The transfer window is closed, they cannot cash in on him until next season...

Biggest PR job ever has been done on Rooney. All the crutches from every scan.

He turned his ankle and nothing more.

Anyone else think he'll get 45 minutes do nothing and get brought off? It'll be the psychological effect more than anything that Fergie is going for.
