No, you would not choose a 1.2 LS over any modern Audi, BMW or Mercedes.

Whilst they may not be an interesting car to drive, neither is a 1.2 LS.

I find your comparison flawed.

Maybe... but they are boring to drive and generally crap performance.. need a stupid sized engine to get it going.

Insides all look the same

I like BMW's, they are very nice cars to drive. Ive driven a 316, 318, 320 325tds, 328,
520 523 + 540. (328 and 540 were pick of the bunch obviously) But I like they way they handle as std and the steering is nicely weighted and feels direct.

Oh to add.. they didnt do a post 1996 3 litre V8.... unless your talking about the 3.5 V8... which still has 7 seconds to 60 which is still not very good for an engine that size.... VTS / GTi / GTT will keep up with that.

It wont keep up with it, they will be slightly behind all the way and a spec in the rvm above 100.

What the hell are you on about

0-60 is 7 seconds

GTi / VTS is 7.4 seconds

Nothing in it mate.... granted above 80 its a bit different. BMW's seem to have a high top speed, but thats down to the size of the engine
