Finally got my car back from the garage from having its gearbox rebuild
But after 5 weeks without a car and £400 later its still just as bad
So I need to phone them tomorow and hope they can sort me somthing out
Anyway Seemed a shame to waste a nice day and I had nothing to do so I gave the car its first proper clean of the year and took some pics
For the car cleaning fans
Two bucket wash with car plan shampoo
Megs clay
Clearkote vanilla moose wax glaze
Colonite wax
Then headed off for a drive about, failed to find anywhere artistic to take pics and just ended up on the seafront

Well it went in with the box whining and crunching in 3rd gear if you shift down from say 5th to 3rd at 60ish or if you change up into 3rd at anything over 5000rpm.
Whining is now gone as it has new bearings but the crunching remains. Which was the main thing that needed fixing as you cant drive it on track etc like that

crunching is a common fault with linkage being to short on some runs of production, im pretty sure there is an updated part to cure it, and its fairly easy to fix

Looks great mate, the only thing I hated about the VTS is how high the seating position is and the really boring interior.
Fun cars tho.

just been on the phone to the garage and cant fault their attitude. Said they will take it back and have another look and sort anything amiss. So its going back tomorow.

My saxo crunched going into 2nd when in high revs, mates did this also. Common problem, but you would expect it to be cured after going into a garage though

Sell it. Get another Type R. The only thing that let it down was your driving

I like this car though
Was only going to be a temp solution that I randomly found on autotrader but I grew to like it

You will get bored of a BM. It won't suit your driving

If I get something like a 330ci cab this would be staying too and would lose weight and gain scaffolding
