Anyone got any website for tips on what you need and where to book up hotels etc? I've kind of been left to organise it or it's never gonna happen and don't know where to start

I don't wanna pay for everyone obviously so is there a way I can get some sort of link for a ferry and say to people 'I'm on this ferry book your slot too?'?

Cheers

In May? Nah that's too short notice. Got loads of mates who wanna go we were meant to be tagging along with others in June and they were organising it but it's looking like they're not gonna go and I don't wanna leave it too late....

All the website I'm looking at are in German and I can't understand a word I don't wanna camp, if I am gonna be going round a race circuit I need full concentration and a decent nights sleep and wash.

www.northloop.co.uk

If you are going for the first time I would stay here

http://www.burgstube.com/

Martin the owner is English and his missus Heidi is worth waking up to in the morning and it's only a short drive down to the circuit from there.

Me, Will, Jr & Fad stayed there, I thought it was perfect for a 'Ring trip.

Nice one people. I like the look of the place Ollie posted. Just scares me organising something like this and it going tits up and being left with an angry mob

I don't know yet Daimo we've gotta sort a date but also gotta make sure there are gonna be places available in the hotel. Gonna be a fair few of us going too so trying to get everyone organised will be fun. Will more than likely be towards the end of June though.

It's really straight forward TBH, easier than you think.

Just email Martin @ Burgstube and he will tell you what dates and rooms he has free and book the ferries online.

Collect deposit from your friends and split the final bill at the end of your stay.

That's pretty easy when you put it like that

Will try and round up some definite numbers before giving Martin an email

Trying to make sense of when the Ring is open. Looks like it's only open on evenings in alot of instances.

I think in June it's not open a great deal. Remember the GP Track is open quite a bit now and that's hilarious

GP Track, where they have the German Grand Prix sometimes right next to the Nordschleife. During VLN or the 24 hour race they include it in the race.

Good track.

That calendar is much easier, cheers.

Considering most people must go in the summer the track looks barely open? November is the time it's open the most :-/

Yeah I know but just confused as to why that's the time the tracks open all day everyday

Mid June to Mid July looks pretty good for track time. Is it normal for it only to be open from 5-8 or thereabouts? Seems like a small amount of time.

I tell you now sort it out so you are out there when we are, both the GP Track and the Nordschleife are open LOTS.

If your mates can't get their arses in gear tough shit. Don't let other people get in the way of what you want to do.

Adam-D went over by himself last year and I give that massive respect. He stayed at the Burgstube and Martin went out with him for a couple of passenger laps.

I have just had someone on Facebook tell me they are going from the 21st to 24th and for me to tag along. And I am quite tempted as it's open lots.

True true about mates I wouldn't wanna go by myself but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to drag a passenger along. I just planned this year to go a few times as I didn't do it last year due to relying on people who let me down and already I'm leaving it late.
