No it isn't the moon, and fairly certain it isn't a star. Looking outside, does any body know what planet it might be, it's proper bright (looks bigger than a star) and it looks really low down..

I seen something moving about in the sky the other night that looked like a hot air baloon with no basket but it was faaaar too high to be one

generally jupiter or venus are viewable. If it's early in the night, i think it's venus, later on probably jupiter. I think venus is usually the first thing you see at night?

Haven't researched this, so my memory could be completely wrong so apologies if it is!

I was thinking this the other day too, there is a bright one then right and up a bit another dullish one.
