bought it last year for track days instead of using his rs4. wasnt quite as quick as a man that works for him that has a civic type-r. so now he has turbo'd the vx220 in an effort to give it more go.
i didnt really have much time to take pics sorry for anyone that is interested.

nice conversion. do you know if its had internal engine work, or is it just a bolt on turbo kit?
does it have an intercooler?

it has an intercooler yes. sort of located in the driver side duct in rear quarter. and its just a bolt on kit. no internals have been changed.

Good tech guide in TV this month about 220 suspension.
I'd reccomend GAZ coilovers.

Which is evened off by the additional weight of extra hoses, intercooler, turbo, manifold etc.
I like this, won't be hardly any 2.2 Turbos, and the Yanks love the engines.
BTCC cars use a sleaved down 2.2 engine to a 2.0 (ok old engines did before they went turbo).
I don't think it'll have as much power as a 2.0, but it won't be far off. Im gussing 5-8psi boost?
Dbalis kits, are proven to work on VX engines.

Yes but arnt the 2.0 turbo ones iron blocked if so a turbo'd 2.2 does seem a much better option

im pretty ure you would gain more than 55HP turboing the 2.2.
as for suspension.. i have GAZ (standards) and i like them, but im going to be upgrading tot he monotubes i think next year.
the golds are pretty good for the money.
anything is better than the standard crap.

Well it all depends on turbo, boost extra. Abit of a vague comment
