mines pretty nippy. it keeps up with my brothers old corsa (his pulled on mine maybe a couple of car lengths which is not a lot considering) his was a 1.6 sport with powerbox straight through exhaust. inc decat. piperx. all mines had done that i know of is piperx airfilter and then a straight through exhaust including janspeed decat. and a sebring 6x4 backbox. theyre not very good at over a 100 though. struggles past 110 but im sure maybe with light wind you might get just over a 120 (indicated) theyre good nippy little motors. not amazing mpg.

10 pages.
Your pretty much standard 1.4 kept up with a 1.6 with a power box and full exhaust?

And that's your opnion. Personally, I think my 1.6 sport is dog slow.
I just can't see how a standard 89bhp 1.4 will keep with a 120+ bhp 1.6..

we'repretty sure his 1.6 wasnt running at 120 bhp. standard map but never had it on the rollers tbh, pretty sure the valve stem oil seals were fucked on his too.

They are slow, but it depends on what you are used to, some people would class a 2 litre as slow.
And i went from 1.4 sport to standard 1.6 and it was far quicker, i think your brothers old car was fucked.

A 1.6 with an inlet & full exhaust will be 120bhp.

to see anywhere near 130bhp, you'll need a raised rev limit and a map atleast.

his was on standard map. but yeah we think it was fucked. my car is nippy for a first car. but now he has a red honda civic type r. he has a project on here somewhere. his car left my corsa for dead. i was foot to the floor in my car in 3rd at about 70 and he went past my like i was stood still.

I'm a bit sceptical about said figure mate...
I had a rebuilt X16XE, filter, Performance inlet, manifold, Full exhaust, C16XE port polished and gas flowed head. Because of being on standard map and standard rev limit, I doubt that would of made 130bhp...
