To those who aren't watching it basically the horn doesn't work when the front/rear lights are on.

Not on all of astra's though.

If a child stepped out off the kerb, I wouldn't be fucking beeping,I'd be braking.

Its under warranty so I would hope so. For the hassle it causes having to leave the car at the garage for a day for them to fix it I wouldn't bother. I'm a nervouse wreck leaving my car in cramped garage car parks..

well to solve the problem, if you happen to see a 6 year old kid run across a road at night, turn your lights off and blast the horn.

Mine is fine. I try not to use the horn much though as it's the most pathetic sounding horn ever.

On a positive note I'm having Cruise Control activated with CC stalk installed this weekend by Vauxhall for £40 all in. Mate of a mate works at Vauxhall so I'm getting discount.

Bargain.

Yeah decent price for parts and fitting. Hopefully should mean the dash light works too. Whilst I'm in I might get some other bits. Glovebox stuff etc.

From what I've read the dash light only works on certain dashes.

Mine had to be activated in the right place before the dash worked, 3 places in total I think it has to be turned on.

Yeah I've heard that about the clocks. Do you mean 3 places by Tech2?

Hopefully I should have the right clocks as mines a decent spec (SRI 150 CDTI) so should have the best spec clocks you'd like to think.

My horn hasn't worked since about a week after the MOT, you know that trick you do on Nova's when you turn a certain something upside down? Did that and my horn kept blaring til I turned the ignition to the off position, as soon as the ignition lights came on it sounded again continuously, had to disconnect it from the actual horn.

Eh? You mean on the Nova turning the hazard light switch upside down to turn on the ignition?? Why would you even try that in an Astra.....
