What type of fields will you be selling? playing fields, agricultural, ones for building houses on?

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I found asking questions about the company/department makes you stand out. I sat there asking a store + director what sales were like, profit margins, targets, warehouse systems, courier companies and then made some suggestions. The main thing people look for is attitude because at the end of the day you can put someone through training for the job but attitude is something you cant change. I found our store to be employing lower qualified people but with great outgoing personalities.
Just relax, always smile and be positive! Good luck

Apparently they played a level playingfield to begin with, not wanting to spill their beens, but after he impressed the boots off them & sowed the seed they softened up bit & told him he's the right man for the position & to plough straight in!!

Colin you wallay!

Went really really well, should know this week if i got it - closed them down for the job but gave me the textbook answer of "well were interviewing other people so dependant on the strongest candidate we will let you know via telephone call or letter!"

Well....I have been offered a day out with one of the Field Sales (shadowing) the job I applied for.

General feeback was "excellent interview, you have the drive & determination we are looking for"

Just need to prove to them I can do it and hopefully I should get the job

If you know who is interviewing you google their names and see if you can get a bit if background info on them!

Looks good to say I see you came from xyz background and ask them about joining the company etc
