Anyone do this? I'm trying to determine whether I can handle 3 nights a week at uni on top of a fairly busy job.

Yeah, doing a Business Information Technology Degree (i'm just about to finish my second of 3 years) along side my ICT Manager job.

IMO, once you get into the stride of the work...you'll be ok.

How often do you have to attend classes?

It's only a year long, and if I decide to pursue and do the next stage it will be another 2 years.

I attend classes every Tuesday and Thuraday from 6pm till 9pm (well, we usually leave at around 8:00/8:30 tbh)

Its quite an ask on my social life...but tbh, getting this qualification is more important then sat at home playing COD

Ive done a few night courses, 3 nights a week sounds a bit much though. I done 2 nights a week civil engineering for a while but soon got sick of it.

1 night a weeks plenty!!

I don't really have much choice with regards to how many nights a week it is.

It's a post grad qualification in finance and most are pretty intense.

Depends on what nights it is too. Hopefully not Fridays!

I do, At one point last year I was studying two different modules 4 nights a week. didn't find it too bad at all as its different environment. found the classes went pretty quick too. You also need to factor in extra studying at weekends etc depending on what you're doing.

i'm doing the CIPS diploma and beleive me you have to be prepared to sit and study if you are distance learning... i have scraped through level 4 purely from what i know within my job however level 5 is going to need alot of attendtion.

It's not distance learning - there will be some self study but it's mainly going to lectures/seminars.

Just found one that's 2 nights a week at a better uni but it's twice the price. My company will pay for it but they only pay on completion. Which means I would have to fork out £20k first
