No you don't need to.
Ingition on, let clocks spin to end and back, turn key, engine fires.
Should not need any throttle.

Its better for the car...gives everything time to come alive (lets face it...everything is electric) before trying to start.
I've only ever fired it straight away once, and it didn't like it.

Petrol shouldn't need time for everything to come alive,.

strange - dont see how waiting dials to sort themselves out has any effect
Each to their own
tned to just stick the key in and fire it up

I'd like an explanation from the dealership as to what is coming alive.
Pump etc primes as soon as you unlock the car.

Fuck knows...... but if I start mine straight away it doesn't like it...it struggles.
Maybe VXR can explain why better....mechanically i'm limited to "letting things come alive".

Obviously not having a giraffe if one way it struggles and the other way it doesn't.
