All the electronics are made by Valeo. They supply the electronics to BMW, Merc, VAG etc. Peugeot don't make any of the electronics in their cars.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I know on the Peugeot 206, its normally caused by a connector block in the passenger footwell becoming disconnected, normally people catch them with their feet, bags etc..

I saw an Astra with only the LED 3rd brake light working. And Ford Connects never have the 3rd light working.

They're French

its normally the lights that let in water and corrode the bulb holders iirc

The lights aren't made by Peugeot though. My GTi has a shit nearside rear. it lets water in and the steel bit that holds the bulbs is rusty as fuck. I think it is because someone in the past has changed a bulb and not ensured the neoprene seal was seated correctly causing moisture ingress. BMW and Merc owners probably get bulbs changed at the dealers so they are installed correctly.

I had the same problem on a 206 GTi, had to buy a whole new light unit as they didnt sell the little black circuit board which had corroded. I agree its probably down to that seal when reinstalling the light after changing a bulb.

Passenger side of my 307 is forever blowing brake light bulbs. Had it replaced twice and has gone again i noticed last weekend. Doesn't look like water is leaking in and the seal is in place. Need to replace this when i get chance.

The connects in work are terrible for it, both brake lights seem to go at the same time as well for some reason leaving you with the posy one at the top.
