adobe photoshop itself is just one bit of software.

they are all pretty complex if you don't understand how to use any of the tools on it.

plenty of guides on the web about it. i have cs2 i think, which for a novice would be quite complex to use but it's alright for easy stuff.

plus it cost £700. Photoshop has basic tools and more complex ones, you can use it in exactly the same way as paint if you wanted, so it's not really hard to get to grips with. Just find some tutorials and get to know the other things it can do

tbh all of them are very similar ie cs2/3/4/5 just have extra features as they go on.

cs2 is the quickest but not really used that one much, mostly used cs3 and 4.

google is full of videos/tutorials etc so never hard to find out how to do something, plus there is always book about it.

if you want cs3 let me know as im sure i have a disk around here somewhere with it on

Cs4 or Cs5 are the quickest by far in my eyes.

suppose it depends on the computer spec, imainge cs4/5 would be quicker on a up to date computer but on an older computer then cs2 would be quicker.
