Seem to remember there being a thread on here not long ago about the best oil grade for the 20xe,just rebuilt the whole engine and geting a bit of reek under throttle, when i dropped the oil out it was like water and i hadnt been run much longer than a couple of mins,so i'm puting it down to that. Any oil recommendations would be appreciated as it will be geting fill up with the right stuff this time, cheers.

Think 10-40 semi synthetic will be the best to use. Use it in the astra and have not had any problems!

Don't the car/oil manufacturers only reccomend the other grades of oils to reduce the emmissions?
