surely it could be improved the amount spent to make a 500bhp engine, surely you would improve the 4wd also
the whole thing came about as a pal was talking about saph cossies, i then said id rather have a lotus carlton which he said was a unfair comparison, so i said id rather have a cav turbo. he then said a cozzie is easily tunable to 500bhp, i said so is a let.......
neither of us have the cash for either btw

Theres already a 500+bhp Calibra that was 4x4, but I think its been converted to RWD now as the 4x4 was pants.
Its on YT. Nic might know the link. Impressive engine. He ran 2 turbo's for a while (small for instant boost and large for top end power, dribbles )

Nahh im not sure either. I know he made lots of odd bits to get the power down, transferring most of it to the rears.
I though he'd gone RWD only though as it kept buggering up. Unsure, he did use mig a few years back.
Crazy engine though.

Mates had a few Calibras & the Transfer box has always fucked up on them & that was running pretty much standard power.

You can get the transfer box locked and it's much better.

aye its the viscous coupling that fails if you dont look after it. I wasnt aware they shear to pieces like colin says so i think i will have to have a re think and look for further information as i have just got a transfer box.
