Right my mum was driving home from Sainsbury's yesterday after doing some shopping at she took my Polo. Anyway on the way back some Polish dude pulled out of the petrol pump and into the side of my Polo. My mum was travelling further up where the white car is on the map and the guy pulled out of the petrol pump. There is a give way sign and he tried telling my mum that it wasn't his fault. Claimed it was my mums fault and refused to give his details. So the Police where called and it was explained to him that it was his fault and still wouldn't give his details. Anyway the Police said that they were going to arrest him and he gave them in the end. Now that is the damage the Polo is getting picked up Monday and I have a 09 plate Corsa D for 2 weeks.

No-one was injured the car took the hit.

Depends what the polo is worth, there's at least a grands worth of insurance repair priced damage there.

easily a write off imo, a write off only needs to be 66% of the cars market value to fix

Yeah I can't see that being written off personally. But at least with the Police attending and them saying it's his fault, you shouldn't have any issues with claiming

I spoke to the Sainsbury's and they said they should be able to provide CCTV evidence there is a camera facing the scene. Going back tomorrow to hopefully get it.

Im gonna hazard a guess at around £1600-£1700

Thats with me going at:
New quarter panel - £400
New door - £250
Labour - £800
Paint/materials - £150
Any other parts, door mouldings etc £???

Very much doubt its a write off though, fuck all wrong with it. Just make sure it gets a new quarter panel and door, cause that will look wank if its repaired. Even if it is silver.

That will be fixed mate, as I was fixing 98/99 306's with similar damage to yours, that had gone through insurance about 2 years ago now.

Car got taken away today and my insurance just called and said that the driver of the van may not have Insurance to drive in the UK. I am going to ring them again to see what they are going to do about it
