What people generally use?

Was thinking of using a dremel with some high grade sand paper, but can i just soak it in something and then use a soft brush to clean everything off?

Used diesel on block and it worked a treat, not sure i should do same with head?

Wire brush is the convention.

Soft variant if it's an alloy head obviously.
