Ive never looked into rapidshare, but how does it work?
The forum posts ive founds how about 10 parts to the file, along with a password.
my questions;
1, do you use a special program to download all parts in one go?
2, do you need paid rapidshare accounts?

You need a paid account if you don't want to wait an hour between files.
Not sure about multiple parts at the same time, I would hope so with a paid account.

Get a paid account, it's about £50 a year. Then basically jump on a load of forums, like warez-bb, find what you want. Then use a downloader like Orbit, which tracks your clipboard for links (so run Orbit, select all of the links, hit copy, Orbit starts to download them).
Be warry about sharing accounts, i've shared with friends but the account got disabled after they detected 3 different IPs. Luckily i blamed it on the account getting hacked and got it back.
There is also a monthly usage limit on Prem Accounts, it's something like 25/50GB a month or so (can't remember). Never had problems with RP otherwise, could happily get silly speeds from their servers when i used uni's net connection and max out my home 20mbit connection.
Newsgroups is also worth looking at. I've dropped RP in favour of it, little more expensive but the connection is secure (SSL).

Iv used rapidshare for a couple years its easily the best way to download, i use it for films and xbox games mostly, a premium account is a must and its hardly a big price for what you get. www.oneddl.com Is quite good for tv/films.

Rapidshare is really worth it if you download a lot of stuff. Music, movies, TV shows etc are my main reasons for rapidshare.
To DL multiple links, I use FlashGot and OrbitDownloader.

one of the following applications;
flashget
orbitdownloader
internet download manager
rapidshare.com downloader (the one from their site)
Get a premium account otherwise you'll never get anywhere.
Get WinRAR from www.rarlabs.com - you need this to extract the files.
Download every file (usually 7/8 or 14/16 parts for an xvid film), right click ONE of them and press extract here
get your links from warez-bb, projectw or similar.
edit; if you're using firefox I recommend installing greasemonkey and a link-checker script. it'll save you loads of time.

I've used rapidshare for about 5-6 years.
Always used Rapid Manager to download too, makes life so much easier.

Really? Oh my bad, I tend to only do 3 or 4 at a time as it slows shit down otherwise.

They keep a 30 day log, but apparently they only store how much data you've uploaded/downloaded and ip address not what files you've downloaded.

5GB per day, rolls over up to 30GB i think. TBH they need to raise it or I'm off to newsgroups. Canr beat it for simplicity though.
I recommend,as others have jdownloader software, and tehparadox.com

Copied from wikipedia
Premium accounts last for a certain number of days. Account validity is measured in seconds, not days. Thus, if you buy a 30 day account, it's valid 30*86400 seconds. The user will receive 5 GB per day, and is allowed to "save" traffic up to a maximum of 25 GB and can then spend the saved traffic all at once.[7]
So 25GB then, knew it was around that

More traffic for our Premium customers
April 29, 2009
In addition to the Premium HappyHours, RapidShare is glad to announce another good news for Premium customers.
Our latest upgrade enables us to permanently raise the traffic credit to 5 GB per day. Up to 25 GB of traffic can be collected.
http://rapidshare.com/news2009.html
Unless you've got an account for free, I'd go with usenet access. A bit more expensive but it's a truly unlimited service.
EDIT: Just checked the Premimum account section and you can transfer the Traffic Share balance to the Download Balance - as long as there is 5GB left in the Traffic Share. Giving an extra 31GB (according to my account anyway). It used to be an unlimited service with RS but people were abusing it iirc.

I use NZBMatrix and VirginMedia Newsgroup (7day retention but useful for TV Shows/Odd film), probably not the brightest of ideas but it's FREE and i get a solid 2.3MB/s all day long on it
