Spend less time making up numerous threads which clog up general chat and spend it on actually improving your car.

No point though GTI is still going to hump your ass!

Cover the car in brake fluid to remove all of the paint, then squirt it with lemon juice to induce rapid corrosion..

Rust is lighter than steel!

a top tip that only the real drag racers and track day warriors only know about is changing all fluid bottles for smaller ones so less water which is a weight saving. Although thats extreme for a road car and possibly the biggest alternative mod is to remove some of the pointless wiring such as earth cables and ecu loom.

Jon, in all seriousness you need to think about it logically.. What can you remove from the car that:

A) You dont need
B) Wont affect the cars ability to go, stop and corner.
C) Wont make the car illegal.

One thing that instantly springs to mind is the speedo! In this country we have a limited number of speed limits: 20, 30, 40, 50 , 60 and 70.. So why not just get a stanley blade and scrape off the paint for all of the other speeds (and all of the KM/H speeds), thats going to save you 2-3grams which shouldnt be sniffed at!

a top go faster mod that doesnt involve weight saving is to tape up all the panel gaps. Being honest though. A corsa will never beat a 106 so you are just wasting time and money on a shit car.

Replace the roof with a carbon fibre one which will actually weigh more than the steel one.
