How long should it take for moeny to arrive to payees account after the payers account has been debited?
The reason i ask is because i know between same banks its instant more or less, I google how long it should take between different banks, but only could find info from 2008 and some some say its about two hours and some say 3-4 days, but what is it actually?

Depends on the bank.. Most now do it in 2 hours but some still take up to a week.

3 days max if sent before 3:30pm.

Depends on the banks, I can transfer from halifax to first direct and its there within minutes.

Really depends on bank.
When i send money through my Barclays account it is pretty much instant no matter who the other person banks with.
With my alliance & leicester account it takes about 3/4 days if it is a new payee and for someone i've paid before it gets there same day dependant on time I did it
