Does anyone know the rough price for new pads and discs for a Corsa Sport 1.6?

i got ap discs and lucas pads for 26 quid for discs, 13 quid for pads. they arent vaux ones but they work just aswell.

If you just want standard ones, Your probably not looking at more than 70 nuggets.
Pads should be about £20 and £50 for the Discs.

I'm just saying that on the basis of that is what my dad paid for new Pads and Discs for his Peugeot 405. Can't see it varying too much.

it pays to shop around!! i got a set of zimmerman plain discs & pagid fast road pads for my golf for £47 inc delivery

hmm, i think i will stick with GM discs and pads, i might be able to get it on warranty seeing i only got the car just before christmas and the discs are knackered.

haha, i dont think you will get it on warrenty mate, get pattern parts, loads cheaper, gsi discs are 100 quid from vaux.

30 for set of discs and pads, not vaux but they r gud enuff

cheers kris, will go and check out some options. Possible some Black Diamond jobbies and GM pads. my brakes are 256mm standard so plenty big enough for now.

when i bought some disks and pads for my nova from vauxhall it cost £10 for the pads and £17 a disc. admitidly they aint vented, but vauxhall pads and disk where actually cheaper than halfords or lucas

Sounds good then Paul. Personally i think GM pads and discs are very good. especially the pads. A lot of members on MIG swear by the OE GM pads.

i do as well. many garages i know say you should always use orignal pads with orignal disks

also i had a disk warp on my nova 9 months later and they replaced them all again, cause the gm parts have 12 month warrenty

i thought corsa sports are 236mm? astra gte setup is 256mm

1.4 sport is 236 x 20, 1.6 sport and gsi is 256 x 20, astra gte is 256mm x 24mm

The GTE discs are better at removing heat than the GSi/Sport 1.6 discs,

You are looking at £30-40 for disks/pads from a motor factors.

Cant wait to get my Astra 16v brakes on

Any idea how much fluid/what type to use?

Just remember to not brake hard for first 200miles as you risk warping the discs. Also if fitting yourself remember they are coating in a grease.

The disks have done about 1000 miles, but Im refurbing the calipers and using new pads.

They r common 236 mm size 1600 are odd size and only fitted to them. try gettin em trade
