Easily get them done by then.

Those guys are pretty good. They often give you offcuts if you only need a little bit. Will also cut stuff to size...

use a carbon/foam sheet. Much safer on hands/legs and easier to shape.

see

Carbon Mods site - http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/Products/Foam-Cored-Carbon-Fibre-Panel__CMFCULSS4MM.aspx

Both the Impreza and Skyline have spiltters that flat bottom the front of the car. The impreza is just a sheet of hardboard for now as more of a testing excersise before using carbon

should be easily wide enough for you needs

2m long, 1m deep

That's what i want to do, flatten the underside off and create a bit of downforce at the front. When you say hardboard i presume you mean hardboard from B&Q ? about 3mm thick ? Think i may try that first before i go for the carbon. I currently have winglets as such which stick out the front but want to extend the whole thing really.

You can see the winglets here, they come to the edge of where the mugen lip stops on the sides. Is it a beneficial thing to do ?

hardboard was from B&Q yes, something like £10

It weighs a bit more, but you can chop it up etc without too much of a thought

I think I used 4-6mm, cant remember

I'm going to do this at some point, to the bmw as it already has a plastic one, but they are crap and many peoples have fallen off, including mine
Stuff spending £360 on the carbon stuff, maybe aluminium or some strong plastic sheet.

A splitter made of 3mm aluminium sheet will weigh a fuckin' tonne! Hardboard is probably more suitable, for a prototype at least...

I dont like the idea of alu sheet for splitters.

Alu wont take knocks and dents like wood/plastic/carbon.

any small knock will just dent it, and it'll be quite hard to flatten it properly.

ABS plastic
Foam/Carbon
or 4mm ply

I'll get pics of both ours

both extend back to just in front of the front wheels, so aprox 500-600mm deep

You want at max about 150mm pround of the bumper line, I'd go for about 100mm
