After my other post of interesting random problems i have a question....
What gives the centre console it outside temp.....
Also is it normal for the top of the head to be hot after idling for 5 mins?
Any answers greatly appreicated!

2 different problems mate, one is the weather temp was showing -31 degrees and kept sayin colder as the engine got warmer, but after 5 mins of only idle i couldnt lean on the rocker rover as it was way too hot! and it might be a koinkydink that they were linked but did seem odd

open the bonnet and remove the vgrill and look down and you will see the sensor mounted on a pice of black plastic just infront of the radiator

Its very hot outside, ran my car for about 5 mins earlier after fixing an oil leak and it was hot in no time. It was like 30 degrees so its heat on heat.

Have you checked your coolant? if very little it may be moving bout as you turn corners giving constantly different readings

The air temperature sensors are quite common to break, you can get a brand new one quite cheap or get down the scrappy.
