Anyone else wanting to get one going at their work?
Just drafted this out to email round:
quote: Entry : £2.50 each
Each Tuesday and Friday morning I will select 2 games at random from the coming days action.
You pick a winner of each game - if your pick wins you get 2 points, otherwise nothing.
To keep things close, you will also select 4 teams from the 8 starting groups (1 team per group) before the games begin. If any team wins its group outright, you get a bonus point.
At the end of the world cup there will be the following prizes based on the points gained :-
Wooden spoon - your stake returned
2nd - 25% of total pot (minus wooden spoon)
1st - 75% of total pot (minus wooden spoon)
Does that seem too complicated? Trying too hard?
Was going to just do a plain 'pick a winner' but theres too many people and doesn't get people involved.....

No, I'll split the pot 75/25 after paying the wooden spoon. Not going to give away more than I've taken in

Theres about 35 in our office but I know 10 wouldn't be interested. 20ish wouldn't be far wrong I guess.

I would just keep it simple and do a normal sweepstake. If any left at the end they can be had by anyone that wants another.

I was going to do that to start with, but seemed a bit boring. If you pick a team next week say, you forget about it for 5 weeks until the final is over.
