Quick repair later....

Seriously gotta say thanks to Tony (fast as u can) & Alan for being so helpful when it came to fixing it up, they didn't mess about getting stuck in and I would have been back on track the same day if they hadn't shut the track early due to a big accident. I got back out on track as soon as the track opened the next day and got my confidence back up, I wasn't going to let it beat me. Managed to complete 5 laps after the accident in the end.

The ring bill came to €3152 and recovery was €180, so it wasn't cheap. First quote I've had to repair the car is £2700 but that is genuine Mazda parts all brand new so I'm hoping that will come down.

It's one of those things you think will never happen to you but unfortunately it's quite easily done, I got caught out on the thing alot of people warn about, the gradients, camber changes, bumps etc, all things you cannot get the feeling of on a game! And I'm not saying I went around there like it was Forza.

Oh & people who want to speculate on things they know nothing about and leave snide comments kindly press the back button on your browser. Thanks!

Safe driving people!

It's all about the small touches

Both me and my passenger got straight out and are unscathed, so as you say that's what matters, was a couple of fatalaties and a few injuries at the weekend so we're lucky

I had no idea this had happened. That rules out getting the Mazda then

Kidding. Glad you're ok as it could of been a hell of a lot worse and at least the car isn't completely fucked too!

Ah nooo. Well least theres reasonably little damage, if you crash at the ring its usually going to be bad. How come the bill for the ring was so big doesn't seem that bad? Well done for getting back out there.

gutted for you graham :-(

least your not making excuses and not really moaning about going off! sure you are gutted about the car tho! least it was only cosmetic and you could get few laps done and drive car back just imagine if it had to be trailerd back!

i guess are are in posistion to pay the repair bill for the ring also, sure lots of people would not have the 3k for that!

glad your ok and hope you get the car sorted, its stunning!

I'm just about the fact I guessed the location correctly from your description.

I can't believe they charged you that much as the damage to the armco looks minor.

At least you're ok and the airbags didn't go of other wise it would be even more expensive. Good lad for getting back out on track the next day.

The Armco would have been weakens by the crash so would need to be replaced instead if fixed for safety reasons incase someone hits the same bit.

Exactly why I've never been there. Not only do you have a fucked car with a big bill to fix, but the fuckin ring bill on top of that is ridiculous. Screw that.

G-sus, I cant believe the ring bill.

Shame they didnt have any tires infront of the armco, might of saved the damage to the ring

You can go to the ring and not thrash it though.

tbh, there isn't £3k in damages to the armco. Sure they will need ot pull out the pillars, re-seat new ones and replace the front of the armco, but not £3k. Can you not dispute the overall cost of repair?

Maybe its the amount of squeezing the road nazi laws are doing and forcing more people onto tracks, which in turn is causing more accidents.

I bet that place makes an absolute fortune in profit.

Unlucky mate, could have been worse.

I can't believe how much they charge, I'd have told 'em to feck off and get the boys to pull an all nighter and fix the barrier myself
