I have decided that i now want a honda civic, not one of the new ones, I'm looking more at the EK9?!?...
Now i know FUCK ALL about them, just wondering if anyone on here knows anything about them, what is the best model/ year / engine to go for...... just after a bit of help really, and also if anyone knows any good civic forums as im going to put my corsa up on there for PX and see if i spark any interest??
I quite fancied the idea of the 1.8 Vtec, but to be honest, i really dont know much about these cars!
or do i just nob it off and keep my GSi ??

ek9s are the type r's right? the whole ek range is solid, the 1.5 engine is nippy and the 1.6 is even better, and if your lucky the 1.6 vti (vtec) has about 160bhp which is plenty

Ek9 is type R only.
185Bhp standard, one of the best handling fwd drive cars out the box, infact probably THE best second being the Integra.
Double wishbone suspension, 185BHP, LSD, Recaros, Awesome gearbox..

There is only one model of EK9, I think you mean EK4. B18 Civic and CRX's go very well indeed!

Yeah but doesn't VTEC kick in at round 5k or sumit? Not everywhere you can rev it that much.

Yeah, 8 or 9k. Sounds over rated to me but then again I've ever been or driven a VTEC'd motor.
