got a fucked note book here, wont load windows so im gonna re install windows on it, but it doesnt have a disk drive only usb and sd card, how can I get it to boot from my cd? ive tried making it an iso and putting all the files on a usb pen but when it tries to boot from the pen its just a black screen with a flashing dash in the corner

You need to make the USB drive bootable for starters and most likely needs to be NTFS if you're installing vista/win7 etc.
Have a look on Google (just search for 'install windows from usb') as there are plenty of guides about, like - http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-install-windows-7vista-from-usb-drive-detailed-100-working-guide/

There's also software that'll do it for you WinToFlash - http://wintoflash.com/download/en/
