Has any one played it yet, what you think ? I was quite a fan of the second one(didn't play the first) is the third just the same as number 2, or is it better ?

i played skate and skate 2 and they were brilliant. skate 3 is like skate 2 but better. its more realistic in terms of never always landing tricks etc.
skate 2 has a better choice of clothing, decks etc id say.

I'm quite impressed with the demo, need to go into Oxford so I can trade some PS2 games in against it as the local Game doesn't take them any more
But yeah it's like 2 but better and slightly nicer graphics. There are more options too, like you can choose the camera angle - high or low. I could never really get to grips with the low one.

the low cam makes the game.
the points are harder to get up as well. not like 1 and 2 where you were able to do a few trick sequences and you were up at x 5 points and you get less points for sketchy tricks.

I think I'm getting a bit more used to the low cam now, it was quite a cool idea to be gin with but I could just never completely get used to it, I keep getting distances horribly wrong

one thing about EA games is they seem to lack a taste in music.
another thing that would be cool in a skate game is all the older style decks, trucks etc. element, toy machine, darkstar, world industries, shortys, grind king. all the older style ones are much better than the new shite.

I'll agree on both those points. Most EA games nowadays will have one good song on, two at best. Virtually every game on the older games (granted not EA) like THUG had tons of quality tunes on. I think there was only two songs on that game I didn't like and it was Mastodon and Lamb of God iirc

Yeah I want the price to come down too It probably won't for ages so I'm going to trade some other games in against it

I haven't traded any games in for years but I saw my pile of PS2 games and decided that a bunch of them I was never going to play again, and two of them I've never even played

Youll get a couple quid each for the Ps2 ones but better than nothing

I took them in to the local Game shop and he said he can't take them but can tell me how much they'd be worth. 5 games - £6 I checked on eBay and none of them are worth that much on there or there are loads of them about so just going to trade them
Oh yeah, I'm going to take in NFS Undercover (on PS3) too. Not finished it yet but it's boring and just poor tbh. Rubbish music that gets on my nerves and it never feels like you're getting anywhere, no matter how many pointless races you enter.

Bump again
The music selection is nothing short of fantastic. There are a load of songs off of skate videos like Flip Sorry and Osiris Subject To Change among others.
It's much better than 1 and 2 combined, it has basically built on what Skate 2 set up. Everything is much smoother and works a lot better, plus some annoying things have been removed, like the Thrasher thing that comes up each time you bail. They have however added an event where you bail off of high things on purpose, so it's not completely gone
