Been going gym last few years but properly with diets etc the last 7months. Put on 2.5 stone and strength is increasing well. All good.

Only problem is last 2weeks ive been getting headaches at the back of my head while weight-training. a throbbing senseation. it goes when back home.

Any ideas? and please no tumour comments

Just googled it out of curiousity and seems a few people have suffered from the same thing. But nobody has put a finger on what it is causing the pain.

Cheers, yeah done a bit of googling just; seems inconclusive. poor breathing techniques or straining neck/head muscles could be the issue maybe.

Drinking plenty of water. Suppose ill just have to have a week off; gonna be torture not going now im in the routine.

got to be breathing and / or dehydration

I take a 2ltr bottle of water the gym with me and often, especially last week when it was boiling hot I drink it all

deep breath in while lowring the weight, then a big breath out when lifting the weight

you probbably know that but I just thought Id put it anyway

It'll be breathing I imagine. I used to get it when i held my breath doing planks (I now know not to hold my breath lmao), ended up with my nose bleeding and a pounding headache .

I've had it before and it feels bloody horrible, it's definitely linked with breathing

Cheers!

Yeah seems to be breathing, was concentrating more on correct breathing today and was alot better. near nothing. Is so easy to hold breathing and grit teeth though.
