After having a really really crap week ive done what i usually do and put music on. It got me thinking though. I only listen to certain songs/artists depending on the mood im in. Like if im happy i have a set of songs and i have a different set for when i feel crap but i never listen to them the opposite way round, so i dont listen to the sad songs when im happy and visa versa. Is it just me that does this or is it a pretty common thing?

My listening usually consists of:

Feeling crap - Michael Buble, GooGoo Dolls, Scouting For Girls, James Morrison, The Streets.

Feeling childish and just want to mess about - Whitesnake, ACDC, Guns n Roses, Chumbawamba, Motown, basically anything random.

Feeling happy - Joshua Radin, Dizzee Rascal, Pendulum, Sub focus, Hadouken, Boys like Girls, Basement Jaxx, Example, Tiny Tempah, etc.

When i want to have a blast down the back roads - Pendulum, Hadouken, Chase and Status, Kano, etc

Then of course i have my music for summer- mostly trance, techno and dance.

I never noticed i did any of this until i thought about it before but ive been doing it for years Does anyone else do things like this depending on mood? Driving style, music taste, tv programs, etc

Do you not find that when your upset you listen to something different to pick you up a bit? Or when you want to relax its a bit different? It doesnt have to be different types of music it can just be different artists or even different songs by the same artist

I thought my car was returning good mpg a few weeks back for abit, didnt fill up as often. Realised why after it was the two weeks i didnt have a head unit so i had no music. I think pendulum costs me about £20 extra fuel a fortnight lol.
