Was my bday a few weeks ago and someone tracked down a silver pound coin for my year of birth, thought it was pretty cool, its not worth loads but not something i've heard of before now!
What cool presents have people bought you before, also what crap?

Thats pretty cool. I got my dad an engraved watch for his 50th which I thought was a pretty good idea (even if I say so myself)

I can't really remember getting any crap presents, when I was old enough to understand what presents were etc, I always made sure I 'helped' my parents buy me my presents before the day. Ok no surprises, but no shit presents either.
That said, had some pretty hideous clothes / boring books before from family members.

Was quite chuffed when my gran gave me my grandads gold omega watch for my 21st. She had kept it for me from when I was 4yrs old!!

anything off my nan was generally crap! she was a really nice woman but was well out of touch with what kids want. she got me a postman pat lunch box when i was just finishing my 2nd year of highschool!
