Guess this can go in GC as I'm not after help, just thoughts.

I've always ran my car on 15w40 castrol oil. But now this is obsolete

Car will be due an oil change shortly, so wondering what to put in it next. Been told that I should be running 10w40 oil.

What are people using in their corsa atm?
Mines a 1.6 16v.

Older vaux 10w40 semi synthetic, newer one 5w30 fully synthetic.

This is asked every 5 minutes.

Anything that goes into vauxhall probably gets 10w40 in it anyway and it doesn't do them any harm.

Anything up to a C I'd stick 10w40 in and anything newer 5w30 although that's probably not technically correct.

Winter i use 5w/30, and summer 10w/40. Just keeps it running that little smoother and easier in winter.

2000ish onwards are mostly 5w40 fully synthetic, before that as said 10w40 semi. Wont make a whole lot of difference either way though.
