...and I'm shitting it. Just incase it does fail on something. I've done all the checks as to what they require and everything seems alright. Just my luck on the way there something will happen so it fails.

Yeah I hope so. Did checks at the weekend, and again this evening. But something is playing at the back of my mind but I don't know what.

Well, I've just phoned them up and said his had to do some work (welding exhaust bracket) so now instead of £21.50 it's going to cost me £52. Do I have to pay this as he done the work without phoning me first?

just pay it. Dont be so fussy over £30 its passed its MOT and you dont have to faff around getting it fixed. But yes they should of rang you.

id ask to see where the welding was done also as he may just be re-cooping costs dues to the 21.50 MOT

Surely you would have noticed if your exhaust bracket would need welding if you checked the car thoroughly before putting it in?

£52 is cheaper than the standard £54.85 fee anyway so I'd just pay it. You will usually find cheaper stations try to fail more things to make up money.
