Phoned up today for a quote to start my own insurance.
Car: 1995 M Corsa GSi 16V
'No Mods'

Driver: 18, Male, 0 no claims

I've been driving my 1.6 Escort SI a year under my mums name with CIS.

Apparently LV won't insure me.

For fcuks sake. What do I have to do, have a sex change or age 60 years

Try Privilege (http://www.privilege.co.uk) they do good quotes for people with no NCB.

its because your 18, they wont insure you on cars over a certain insurance group untill your 21

insured my 1.4 16v sport, n reg for 800 fully comp with everything declared, in and out! they said any engine work thats done just let them know and it still wont affect the policy as long as declare whats done! but wouldnt insure me on a 2.0 16v conversion! im 21! 0 ncb!
