Hi all, new to the site but have been messing about with vauxhalls for years, so with some bits i have collected and a nice payout from winns, im going to sort me car out, i am fully aware that people on here will tell me that im far better off with a redtop or a let but they have been done to death so im going have a go at fitting one of two engines either a 2.5 out of me mate's vec gsi o a 3.0 out of an omega.
But first i need to sort out the mahoosive dint in the side an general crapness of the body work, i'm still undecided on the colour at the moment it is arden blue but i have decided to go either white or black, i have also considered with the euro theme that am going for to do it grey.
So as i cant decied and me girlfriend wants me to get a new car (which aint going to happen), i am going to leave that up to you guys, so whoever decides to read this and want to have some usefull imput please leave a coment cheers.
I do have pics but there on me phone so as soon as i get them of it i will post with updates.

white, black and arden are all pretty common! theres a matt black corsa in another thread which looks mint, but grey would b v diff - matt? anthracite mayb? and if yer goin 4 a big engine, ur as well doin it proper and go for the 3.0!!! lol

I'd leave it arden blue if i was you its a really nice colour. Deffo get the omega engine, if you need any help give me a shout and ill try my best to guide you with the conversion.

cheers for that was thinking of battle ship grey but the body is fare from ready for paint, what mounts did you use on your conversion, and would 1.5 diesel shafts take the strain or would i have to go custom

iv heard of people fitting 2.5 engines ith a 3.0 head.. dunno if its much difference but there was one down south shields and it shifted !!

do it pineapple yellow. nicest vauxhall colour along with brocade yellow

its the bottom end that makes the differance and the cams gonna run the 3.0 with four g cams and a 4 bar reg

I got my mounts from chris astley but he's no longer in business as far as i'm aware, i use proper motorsport shafts but you can use corsa gsi ones as people use when they put redtops in.

thats the mount i use, its a modified version of the chris astley mount.

and are the gearbox mounts the same as a redtop conversion

just a quick update no pics as yet but they are on the way.
made a start on me semi smooth tailgate and also got rid of the arial.
also made a big hole in me boot lol

Nice , liking the seats. please don't paint the car matt black it would look so much nicer in arden blue
