Still only rumours at the moment. Can't say he was my first choice tbh, but hopefully he has demanded a healthy transfer budget before accepting the job - highly doubt it.

Nothing confirmed yet, can't see him doing much with Liverpool, think there will be too much pressure on him with very little or no transfer budget. If he gets the job, hope he proves everybody wrong though!

Unfortunately I can see him being lined up as the scapegoat for this season. If he gets any money to spend i'll be amazed, hopefully he'll be able to keep hod of our better players but again I can't see that decision being his to make, hopefully he has some kind of input. I can't wait for the season to start

Need a big name manager to keep/get big name players, that's why they've gone for Woy
I can see the big names leaving now, would expect to see three of the following leave this summer
Masch, Gerrard, Torres, Smack Head, Kuyt
Although i expect Torres to stay

Ah, just checking
If players do start leaving (and I expect it may happen if they want to or not given our owners) then I think Torres, Gerrard, Masch, Benayoun, Lucas, Kuyt and Babel will all go.

Lucas will go to Inter imo, along with Kuyt.
Torres will want to leave if Gerrard goes, thats for sure. If anyone is out there with the money to buy him is another thing (Inter?).

That rumour has been going around for a while now though - Im still doubting its even happening (especially given the amount of false hope in the past).

From what i've been told it's sorted, but then again the guy who's "been told" is full of shit so i dunno, all i know is he's backing liverpool in every market. I can't see it myself
But looking at the odds for outright on the league, with spurs and liverpool
They would have to be about 1/5 Liverpool and 10/3 Spurs in a match bet. And if that price comes about i'll be having my biggest ever bet at 10/3 on Spurs

TBH Id be amazed if any deal comes about for the yanks to sell up - not by the start of the season anyway.

IMO the only way liverpool can be sold is if they drastically reduce the valuation they have put on the club, which won't happen, then all the players will get sold, which will reduce the clubs value even more

The thing is, the valuation in the papers isnt what they actually want. When he said he wanted 4x his investment the papers all put out the £800m valuation - but his investment is not £200m, its less than half that.
IMO if someone offered £400m+ then they would accept it and walk away with a nice profit of £100m+ each.

I didn't know the paper valuation, i always thought they was after 400 million, which imo is massively overpriced

Given our revenue and paper value of the players I think £400m is a fair valuation.
Would mean you could buy the club, build the stadium (£400m say) and invest £200m in the squad and still cost less than United but with a comparable turnover.
