rite im up on the 2nd in couple of days iv got 3 points already got caught for speeding 3 points more but failed to produce wot do u think the chances of etting banned are ?

why did you fail to produce? Any legitimate reasons?

well lost my counter part of my licence told the police the next day after having the ticket and they said u will get done for failing to produce,

i do now i lost the counterpart to my licence they wouldent accept just the card part

did you take all docs into a station anyway? If your in first two years and your about to get 3 more points then yes you will get banned

i took all the other docs, iv passedthe 2year phase nearly 4 now, could take another 3 points along with the 3 ment to go on taking me to 9 no more than that though

You will be banned and made to resit the test again, no getting out of it i'm afraid.

As for the docs then the cops are just being arsey, if its lost then you cant produce it can you. Your lawyer will sort that out in court and the charge will be dropped. The fiscal will be more focused on the banning.

Tough luck just need to put it dowm to a hard lesson learned. It happened to me a good few years ago.

Failing to produce in technically an offence, but is never enforced as they know you cant be expected to have your licences with you all the time etc.

I had to goto count once with the same thing as you. They will contact the DVLA to check you have a licence before you turn up give you 3 points and send you on your way.

They just cant give you fixed penalty if you cant produce thats why your in court.

Nothing to worry about.

I lost my paper bit and got a producer, sent off for a new one and got it few days after. I then nipped down the bacon house and job done.

Also, how many years have ytou had your licence? If you get 6 points in teh first 3 years you get it taken off you and have to re-sit your test.

I bricked myself when it happened to me as when i took the paperwork i had in to the station i had my rights read to me etc. My arse nearly fell out!!

rite all i got 4 points in total 3 for the original speeding and an extra 1 for failing to produce and £60 fine
