all start for the start
head gasket went so stripped it off and then realised the head was knackered
so a found a mk4 astra head in the bottom of the shed
rebuilt it replaced all the valve stem oil seals and reground in valves.
she ran but the smoke out of her was terrible and was buring more oil than petrol
diagnosed the problem to be the head was not torqued down right so oil was going into one of the cylinders also astra head was fucked
managed to get hold of a corsa head of coughtrie so put it straight on and built it back together
still smokey bad and has developed a misfire
done compression test and its all fine
going to change plugs etc will keep this posted up to date any help apreciated
also when head was off checked the pistonrings and moved good

got the misfire sorted and a think that the vlave stem oil seals are away
also just goin to take exhaust off to see if it full of oil will keep posted
