Pretty obvious answers for some no doubt but I couldn't find anything online.

If I've already got a full car driving licence, do I still need to take bike theory an cbt or can I go straight for the full test? Thanks.

You need to take bike theory, CBT and the Module 1/Module 2 regardless of car license.

you'll need to sit another theory, even though it's EXACTLY the same as the car one.

stupid, imo.

What are the prices like now? 50 for theory, 100 for cbt and couple of 100 for the test?

Interesting the CBT prices haven't gone up.

So you can still hoon around on a 125 for £100, but if you want anything bigger then the price had gone up from around £300-£500 for a weeks tuition, test etc, to about £1k.

They are already looking at getting rid of the swerve test too

and how do you get your own bike there, considering you need a cbt to ride it down?

£1000 for the full tuition

Might be worth just getting a 125 for a while i think.

trailor or pillion someone who can ride with a full license.

Generally, if your getting into biking, usually there is someone you know who also rides.

When I did mine a few people turned up with them on trailers, a couple of others just took the risk that they wouldn't get caught on the way and rode

yeah but for the sake of £20 - is your mate / dad whomever going to want to ride your bike down the cbt centre.

I remember when I did my cbt years ago, the bikes we used were absolute shite.

When I booked my new cbt recently it had a tick box for 'use your own bike' and I was tempted but then thought 'hang on, I can't ride the bike down there can I' lol.

Well, my friends, and certainly my dad would have taken me down there.

I just used their bikes though, much easier and cheaper if you dropepd it (I didn't).

But then again, my dad lives for bikes. Thats why he has about £30k's worth of the buggers in his garage (only 4!!!)

My dad's got roughly that value on his 2 and he's still too tight to give me a lift down the cbt centre I think I'll just walk.

Looking forward to getting back on my bike though, I miss it - just wish I'd bothered to do my test originally.
