How embarassing is it when your exhaust goes

Mine is hanging off (literally) just days after being told by the MOT tester that it might need changing soon But what's even worse is that it sounds like I have a Twin 5" Jap 'zorst' coming through the floorpan & into the cabin of the car

Getting home from work was like doing the walk of shame

I was embarrased everytime I got in my clio when I bought it with a stupid exhaust, and that was slightly quick.

I don't know how people in old slow corsa's and the likes have the brass neck to do it deliberately.

i have a Janspeed on mine, its meant to be stealth and even though it is pretty much standard sounding get a tiny bit of boom in 2nd on overrun does my brain in

echo Johns thoughts on the Corsa exhaust people. All that noise and going very slowly makes you look like a fucktard

What do you know about Clio exhausts Jambo? I don't really want a performance style one but I can see it costing a bomb for a standard 172 one

Will Powerflow not be able to make one up for half that? then you can specify the silencers etc

You've heard how "quiet" mine is and that's as quiet as they can make it apparently!

That's my worry! I don't want to have an exhaust noise, well not a noticable one. You know what I mean I'm sure

The standard exhaust on my 206 GTi fell off from the cat last weekend. OMG, sounded like an earthquake coming down the road!

Also, I hate the sound of decat's on modern cars, just sounds chav and crap.

If you want quiet, certainly don't get Longlife / Powerflow to help you out.

Gareths Scorpion one is pretty quiet for an aftermarket exhaust tbh. Stuff like Supersprint etc is meant to be too iirc.
