Just reported my next door neighbours car for being untaxed.. Disc in the window ran out in august last year And its used daily. Checked the dvla webby thing and its comming back as unlicenced. Taking that into consideration i doubt very much its mot'd or insured.
Cant help feeling like a git, but to be honest i get raped for over £200 a year why should someone else get away with it??

I'd have done the same thing mate. Like you said, how come they should get away with it when you have to pay £200? High 5.

Put his plate in here and see if he has insurance too

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Depends if you ever speak to them and they're friendly
If yes, harsh, if no, not at all

i think its a shitty thing to do tbh, Im sure he will have had a fine(s) already about it. I have always been against reporting people to goverments just because the DVLA etc are twats so why help them? Also how do you know he aint completely skint and going bust etc? years ago my uncle, before it was all automatic fines on a computer drove around for 6 months ish without as he could barely afford to keep his car and needed car for work. I see your point in doing it but just hate money making agencies llike the DVLA more.

Can't afford to tax his car for 6 months in nearly a year? I bet it's not insured or MOT'd or it's dangerous!

I bet you would feel differently about it if an uninsured driver crashed into you!
I have no sympathy for anyone if they are dodging car tax, insurance or even holding a licence if they are struggling or not we all have to find the money from somewhere, otherwise do drive.....Simples.

Imo having a car is a privilage. If you dont live up to the rules and regs set out to keep everyone safe and financially secure if everything goes tits up,you shouldnt have the privilage to own or drive a car. Wouldnt have grassed on him tho. I'm a beleiver of karma,do bad things, bad things happen!

Yes the more I read I agree with all this,. if the guy never intends/indtended to tax his car..yes he is an asshole who doesnt deserve to drive. I still wouldnt personally have reported him tho as i just hate agencies like DVLA and he will get caught eventually and will have deffo had automatic fines etc.

I don't know for def so maybe someone can clarify but surely his insurance would be invalid if you have no tax? Or chances are his car isn't MOT'd either so is road worthy?
