tbf cumbria isn't affected. they are saying it's because their water comes from somewhere else, i reckon its cause they are too scared t. tell people who's lives have been wrecked by flooding that they can't use a hosepipe.

The water will come from rivers and reservoirs in the affected areas which have had no water. All that flood water probably drained away and not into those rivers and reservoirs.

The reservoirs are all really low. They were overflowing in November.
Manchester nicks most of our water.
My Uncle has been karting water from his river to his water tank for nearly 2 months now as his springs dried up so at least I'm on a mains supply unlike him. Just had bugger all rain recently.

WTF! So surely by what Ben says you can choose not to pay? They can't charge you for a service you're not allowed to use?

you would think there would be a 20% reduction in our water bills for the period we can't use water or something.

They'll have to catch me first!
Theres no way i'm washing the car with just buckets and risking swirls. I'll still be pressure washing and snow foaming as usual.
If I get a fine, the water authorities will get a bill for a full correction detail!
