Headed up to scotland today, as were off to ireland on the ferry in the morning.
Was travelling down the A1 earlier. Got beside a truck, and bang, middle axle wheel exploded, huge bit of tyre hit front wheel, made me swerve into lane 3.
Car felt ok, and by then we was way to far away from the truck to stop and get his details. Was i fuck walking down the side of that road.
Pulled over further down, and luckily, all thats happened is its taken a bit of paint off the front wheel and a few large rubber mark down side of car.
Lucky escape imo.
Anyone else ever experienced this

I had something similar a while back but I'd moved into lane 3 to let someone move into lane 2 then as I was alongside the trailer's wheels a tyre let go, massive bang but no damage to any other cars. Makes you jump

I had a boulder roll on front of the car, smasjed straight into it, 2 burst tyres ans some terminally ill wheels, RAGE!!

Yeah, I was only talking about this the other day to someone. A few years back I just finished work and was going home on my RS250, joined the main road and got alongside an artic truck when bang!, tyre blew and rubber flew past the bike, missing me by inches. I absolutely shat my pants and was lucky not come off.

He slammed his brakes on abd pulled into verge. I had artic up my arse and artic infront of him. By time I got into lane 1 I was miles down the road.

I spend as little time as I can in lane 1 and 2
3 is much safer
