Well simple really, I have up to £2500 to spend to spend on a car for myself.
Would like something FUN ! If possible for my budget.
I will not be using it everyday so not too bothered about MPG.
I'm 24, will be 25 soon with 3 yncb so cant really get anything that will be too expensive to insure.
I have looked and heard good things about the Mazda Mx5 and for my price I could probably get the 1.6 or 1.8 1998 model to 2001.
Hairdresser jokes aside, is there anyone who has any views on the Mx5's as I don't know much about them.
Also looked at Toyota MR2 but other then the two cars I have spoken of I really don't have a clue so need some help and ideas please

I have an MX5
Paid £2300 because the roof needed replacing and it had little service history. Great cars, I'm 24 with 5 yrs NCB so insurance is only £800 Fully comp.
Look out for torn roofs and rust in the boot (underside of bootlid) and check the sills Look for 'S' models as they have LSD
Could get a Toyota MR-S for a few more £££, pretty muched matched stats wise.

Wanted something hatchback size.
Would love a nissan 200sx even though it's not small but I think the insurance would be a killer.
Not really a golf person either, just find them a bit boring to look at, sorry.
Any other ideas maybe

If the insurance is going to be a killer on a 200sx id say an Impreza was also out.

For that price a puma or mx5 would be hard to beat imo.

I'd say MX5/MR2/MGF for some summer fun..
Expect some hair-dressing related banter but who cares

Generally they are shitters for that sort of dough though.
