Heres my idea!

A car picks you and your luggage up from your house and whisks you off to a lovely hotel where you have a nice meal and then go to bed (which is a comfortable pod type thing).. Before bed you are given a canular (needle in your hand) and then you are sedated and fitted with a heart monitor.

Once unconsious your pod is loaded onto the plane and you are put on a vitamin drip so when you reach your destination you will feel a million bucks! There are also medical staff on the flight incase of an emergency.

When the plane reaches its destination you are unloaded and placed in a room that looks exactly the same as the one you started in and you are slowly awoken and served your favorite breakfast.

Think it would work?

but its an interesting idea (kinda like 5th Element when they knock the passengers out with gas)

On a serious note, I have always wanted someone to push the idea of sedation during flights.

Its hardly going to be any more dangerous, given the little you can do if a plane is plummeting 35,000ft out of the sky if you're awake.

interesting concpet and I think the world might head in this direction but not for a long long time. kinda like in the movies where they cryogenically (sp?) freeze people for travelling long distances through space.

you'd have to be very very trusting to allow someone to sedate you and trust them with looking after you over a few hours worth of flight!

Thats why you'd have your own 'POD' and your pod would have a little safe built into it that you lock all your stuff in before you are sedated

id rather be stuck in a pod awake with a tv than sit on a chiar next to some smelly fat badger on a flight anyway lol

It would be an elitist target audience, world leaders, artists, sportsmen etc.

They could land and 20 minutes later be in a meeting/on stage etc.

Could be useful in the army aswell, fly them out and the second they hit the deck be up and ready to go for 20 hours as they are already refreshed.

I dont, ive never been to hopital apart from when i was 9 and wasnt sedated. Come out with more illnesses than where you went in
