I'm sure a while ago I seen on one of the forums I use that there was something like google street view but it was aerial images via satelitte, Was I imaging this as I can't seem to find anything when I search online.

I thought he meant the Ariel views as in taken from a plane.

If it's just normal satellite imagery i would have made a snide comment instead.

I did actually mean aerial pictures, I wanted to see the boundaries of a house I'm interested in so google isn't what I need.

Google earth is a mixture of satellite and images from planes. Satellites can't resolve detail so the data switches from one to the other.
