One of the guys would be up for it from OCC if it's in Oxford itself, having a walk round there getting pics of the nice buildings and pert tourists could be a good afternoon.
It would probably be best to work out some sort of route though so we don't end up lost and very far away from where we started

I'll stick my name down as a maybe depending on what you plan to do exactly.
If theres a decent list of things to see/do I'd definately be interested.
Not that I'm particularly near Oxford but nevermind

Where are you from?
Would it be worth having a wander round the Ashmoleon? It's been closed for years whilst they re-did it and I haven't been yet, could be a corker.

Bedford pretty much - 50 miles or so
I've no idea what Ashmoleon is, but if you think its worth a visit stick it on the list.

I'll have to pull together all my ingenuity to sort this out!
The Ashmolean (yes, I spelt it wrong before ) is the massive museum in the centre of Oxford http://www.ashmolean.org/

I'm up for anything so long as there is a plan of somesort. That museum looks pretty good.
Nothing worse than turning up somewhere and saying "right, now what"

Yeah exactly. I am up for some punting on the river so we can accidentally loose Andy's Canon kit in the river

It's ok. Make sure it is insured then we can go shopping for some lovely Nikon kit

Why, so we can throw that in the river too? Seems like a real waste of money tbh.
Besides, most of my Canon gear is waterproof

I may be up for this, Ashmolean is supposed to be good but not sure on photo opportunities, suppose it depends what you are after. Walk along the river can be good, couple of pubs literally on the bank

Nice one Simon
I've just had a thought about the museum, it might be tricky getting pics without a decent low light lens, which I for one don't have
The river is a good idea, there's a path right the way up the Thames. There's a couple of units or something that back onto it near Folley bridge that I've always wanted to get a pic of because they always seem to have interesting graffiti on them.

Depending on how far people can be arsed to walk the river has fair few different areas, got the industrial bit near town, the college rowing clubs, port meadow with the cows and horses drinking from river, punting etc.

If people haven't been to Oxford they may want to see the centre but this time of year there are so many tourists with cameras I get frustrated there

I used to live in Oxford. I can live without going into the centre!
Between the two of you I am sure we can set a plan up

Is that a royal 'we', Doug?
That's true about the centre tbh, you can't move for Asian people posing for tourist photos. The further you get from Cornmarket the less there are though.

Well when do you want it, in a week, in a month?
I'm going to post this here so I remember to check on it I don't think you'll be able to see it unless you log in. http://www.oxfordshirecarclub.co.uk/board/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3388
