Depends what packages you want. Use the package builders on their websites and see whats best
I was going to use virgin as the internet was better but by the time I'd added the channels I wanted it was about £30 more expensive than Sky

read the small print.

£11+ for phone line rental for free evening and weekend calls, £17 for decent broadband and £18 for the basic sky package.

so that's £46 right there, over double what they advertise it's a joke.

my sky package is £57 at the moment, need to cancel sky sports 1 and HD package.

i've heard lots of people say they have problems getting their sky BB working initially. 2 guys i work with said they had to spend hours on the phone trying to sort it out. when i switched to Virgin it was all installed and working in less than 2 hours. really cant fault vrgin bb and phone at all. just didn't like their HDTV package so went for sky instead.

sky, just for the fact that virgin is pretty much the same channels as digital, only got like 3 movie channels.
sky just has a better choice of channels and the phone and broadband is excellent

I've had Sky, and I've got Virgin now. I prefer Virgin, as the TV has all the channels I need and I actually get the download speed I pay for.
The On Demand service is pretty handy too.
We get 12 of the Sky Movies channels, and the rest of the Sky HD channels are coming later this year.

this is me got it all set up easily enough. wireless connection works fine on my PC and my girlfriends and girlfriend's sisters laptops (no pics).

but my laptop won't connect wirelessly so i need to connect it to the internet using the ethernet cable.

pain in the arse. had it a month or so now.

when we phoned them up last time we were on for an hour and a half which didn't sort anything. then rang back a few days later and was on waiting to get through for 30 mins before hanging up.

it's a right piss take. 57 quid a month for jack shit.

virgin media have better broadband speeds and they are exact what they qoute at any time of the day.

Tv is just as good and its alot cheaper for same packages.

I pay £47 with 10mb, Tv Xl with Hd+ box and phone free weekend calls ( dont use home phone got mobile).
Only package I dont get is sky sports/movies, get ESPN HD included with XL.

If everything else can connect ok it would suggest the problem is with your laptop.
