i've had this problem for a couple of months now.

wasn't so bad at first but seems to do it most of the time now.

when i touch the accelerator then take my foot off, it makes a strange springy sort of noise when it's in gear. when not in gear, it's fine.

spoke to a mechanic at work who said it's the clutch release bearing.

can anyone confirm this at all? will try and get a sound clip if that helps.

Sounds like it to me Ben. My dads kit car did exactly the same and it was the release bearing
